A unique feature of the territory is attributed to the foresight of an ancestor of the Frescobaldi family who, in 1855 invested 1,000 florins to begin the cultivation of varieties previously unknown in Tuscany. After more than a century of patient care, these magnificent vines produce the great wine of the estate, Mormoreto.... A story to share.

According to popular belief Nipozzano means “without a well” - testimony to the area's lack of water and ideal circumstances for the cultivation of grapevines. Be transported to the heart of Chianti Rufina where the Frescobaldi’s Nipozzano Riserva 2009 has been awarded 90 points + from Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate.

The St. Regis in Florence has a great location just outside the main Tourist area, but within 5 mins walk, on the River Arno. 10 mins to Ponte Vecchio, 15 mins to the Duomo, 20 mins to the Academia. The rooms are beautiful, and service is impeccable from the moment you set foot on the kerb to the moment you leave. Staff are understated but always ready to assist. The bar is brilliant - don't let the setting intimidate you - Gianni, Andrea, Rami, and Maximilian are as charasmatic as the room is beautiful. Drinks are superbly crafted, and they made excellent recommendations for local dining as we didn't want use the 1* Michelin restaurant on site. The Westin across the road has the views from their rooftop bar - the St. Regis has the atmosphere you'll love! The pianist was awesome too. Great selection of music - from Mozart to Metallica!
